- 本品は、一過性発現系又は遺伝子組換（ヒト遺伝子のコピーをそのDNAに安定的に挿入した）のいずれかにより形質転換した Nicotiana benthamiana によって産生させた単鎖の遺伝子組換ヒトペプチドとヘキサペプチド－４０（＊）の融合ペプチドである。出発遺伝子は、最大で４１２個のアミノ酸からなる血管内皮細胞増殖因子Ａのコードを持つヒト遺伝子と同一になるように合成したものである。その融合ペプチドは、ジスルフィド結合と糖鎖付加の両方又はいずれか一方を含む１７１個のアミノ酸からなり、固有のアミノ酸配列を持つ。Nicotiana Benthamiana Hexapeptide-40 sh-Polypeptide-9 is a fusion peptide of Hexapeptide-40 with a single chain recombinant human peptide produced by transgenic Nicotiana benthamiana after the transient expression or stable insertion of a copy of a human gene into its DNA. The starting human gene is synthesized to be identical to the human gene which codes for Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor A and contains a maximum of 412 amino acids and may contain disulfide bonds and/or glycosylation.
